I started working at Arizona Distance Learning in 2003. I graduated from Arizona State University in December of 2001 with my B.A. in Secondary Education English and then spent a year and a half working as a substitute teacher for Mesa Public schools. I like working with children and teens, which has been a major part of my life. I have worked in day care and mentoring programs before becoming a teacher.
Sidney has worked in the educational field at the High School level for 32 years. She started out as a library and office aide and later earned her teaching certification in both CA and AZ. Most of her training has been in the vocational and "at-risk" student areas. She also served as the Santa Cruz County Outreach Coordinator, WASC Coordinator, and most recently as the Lead Lab Advisor for Sequoia Choice Village H.S. She now returns to us after a 2-year break as the AZDL Advisor for N.E. Arizona. Sidney loves working with the High School population and believes students will rise to given expectations when receiving strong and effective support.
